FAQs

What does IDFC stand for?

IDFC stands for Interdimensional Filet Crochet, which is essentially my take on Interlocking Filet Crochet.

What does IDMC stand for?

IDMC stands for Interdimensional Mosaic Crochet, which is essentially my take on overlay Mosaic Crochet.

What is an Ilosaic Pattern?

Many, if not most, of my patterns are made for Interdimensional Filet Crochet primarily. An Ilosaic Pattern is an IDMC pattern made using the same exact graph used for the IDFC version of the same pattern.

These patterns typically come with a ticked graph as well as stitch by stitch instructions for “Overlay Mosaic".”

Do you take commissions?

No, not right now. I have a lot waiting and am up to my neck in work.

What is an IMS Square?

An IMS Square is essentially a granny square that is made to look connected to all other squares around it no matter the placement.

Is Interdimensional Filet Crochet different from Interlocking Filet Crochet?

They’re worked up roughly the same, just new and different abbreviations.

What is a ticked graph?

A ticked graph is a blown up graph of a pattern that has X’s everywhere you should put a Double Crochet when working in Overlay Mosaic.

Are there any tutorial videos?

Yep! You can click here to find my tutorial video and some other good ones.

What does “DS” mean?

In many of my Ilosaic and IDMC patterns, DS is used. DS1 is just short for D1, S1. These stitches should not be placed into the same stitch.
So, DS3 = D1, S1, D1, S1, D1, S1.
